Sorrento Woods is a short 3 mile ride to Nokomis Beach, Sarasota Counties oldest public beach. Nokomis beach is known for its expansive beaches and beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Nokomis Beach has public restrooms, showers, lifeguards on duty and free parking. There is also a public boat launch. North Jetty Park and Beach is located just a mile south of Nokomis Beach. It offers fantastic fishing along the Venice Jetties. The beach area is popular with beach goers and when the weather is right is a popular area for local surfers.

Starting in Nokomis, Florida at the intersection of N. Tamiami Trail (U.S. 41) and E. Laurel Road, proceed east. Continue to Sorrento Woods Blvd, and turn left (north) into the community. The communities mailing address is 1112 Delacroix Circle, Nokomis, Florida 34275.
