Pinebrook South Community Features

Curry Creek can only handle small boats due to the depth. Pinebrook differs from newer construction in that the landscaping is well established and the Oaks and other trees are mature. Flowering plants are abundant and bloom year round. The Pinebrook South Homeowners Association, Inc. was started in 1975 and is the governing body. The community has deed restrictions to help keep the properties looking good and to keep up property values. Pinebrook South is not gated. Some of the basic rules which are subject to periodic change and review are:

Pinebrook South offers a large rectangular community pool, shuffleboard and large clubhouse. The clubhouse is the center of the social life with numerous events year round. It has a capacity of 100 persons and is open from noon to 8:00 pm.

Most notably, Pinebrook South has a canoe, kayak, and small boat launch adjacent to its clubhouse that provides direct access to Curry Creek. The creek offers a scenic "Old Florida" water view and nature experience. A boardwalk and dock parallel the river. Home owners can store their canoes and kayaks in the community storage racks beside the launch.

Directly across Pinebrook Road are numerous baseball fields, soccer fields, and regulation croquet fields. Pinebrook South is pet friendly but pets must be leashed and owners must pick up pet deposits.

Venice Area Information

Pinebrook South is only 11 minutes and 3.3 miles to Venice Municipal Beach. It will take you longer to pack your cooler and load the car than it takes you to get there. The Gulf of Mexico is beautiful and scenic year round and the sunsets sensational.

Perhaps a round of golf on one of the area championship golf courses is more your style. Stimulate your cultural side at the Venice Art Center or Venice Theatre.

Pinebrook South is located in Venice, Florida. Begin at the intersection of US 41 Bypass S. and E. Venice Ave. and proceed east to Pinebrook Rd. Proceed north on Pinebrook Rd. to Lucaya Ave, turn left (west) at entrance. The Clubhouse and pool are physically located at 1348 Featherbed Lane, Venice, FL 34285.
