The golf course is a private course designed by Ted McAnlis and was completely renovated in November 1, 2005. It features 10 holes with water, is a par 72, and has five sets of tees ranging from 5094 yards to 6747 yards to offer an outstanding experience for the novice to professional golfer. Players have the option to hit over a hazard or play around it throughout the 18 holes.

Venice Golf and Country Club performed a total upgrade to its golf course at a cost of $2.5 million with no special assessments to its members. Their goal is to have the best golf course in the area, period. The upgrade was performed in 2015. They regrassed tees, greens, fairways and all practice areas. They installed a state of the art irrigation system as well. It is incredible that they were able to perform this type of an upgrade without a special assessment to the members. This speaks volumes for their financial stability.

Venice Golf and Country Club launched a $6.1 million capital expansion project in 2020. The clubhouse expansion includes a covered outdoor dining area and bar and an expanded kitchen. The wellness center is three times its previous size, featuring two spa treatment rooms, a new cardio and weight room with state of the art Technogym equipment. The expanded floor exercise rooms accommodate a much improved fitness class schedule.

Venice Golf and Country Club is located at 250 Venice Golf Club Drive, Venice, Florida 34292. Starting at Jacaranda Blvd and Center Road, proceed east on Center Road approximately 1/2 mile. Turn left into the community and check in at the gate house.
