Wellen Park has consistently ranked as one of the most popular and fastest growing master-planned residential communities in the country, and taking a look at its various areas and features should dispel any mystery as to why.
Wellen Park consists of four districts, one being the proposed Downtown Wellen Park, a future commercial and entertainment center, and the other two are collections of beautiful residential neighborhoods. The first of these is known as West Villages, the original and more well-established neighborhoods of Grand Palm, Gran Paradiso, Island Walk, and more.
To the south are the more recent and in-development neighborhoods of Solstice, Wisteria, Avelina, Sunstone, and of course, Gran Place.
Gran Place is located near the intersection of West Villages Parkway and Manasota Beach Road, just to the southeast of Sunstone.
In broader terms, Gran Place will be less than 5 minutes south of the U.S. Highway 41, also known as Tamiami Trail; less than 15 minutes west of central North Port; 20 minutes southeast of Venice; and just less than 20 minutes northeast of Manasota Key.
Gran Place Real Estate
Gran Place will be built by renowned home builders Sam Rodgers Homes. The area will be considerably smaller than other Wellen Parks neighborhoods, consisting of only 42 homes over 63 acres.
Roughly two-thirds of the area of Gran Place will be devoted to natural spaces.
Homes in Gran Place will range from $500K to $1 million in price to begin with. These custom designs will be arranged along a single curving street with a cul de sac at each end. Homes adjacent to the West Villages Parkway will have slightly smaller lots, while those arranged on the western side of the community will have larger lots, nearby lakes, and nature preserve to look out over.
Sam Rodgers Homes is known for its luxurious and quality homes, which display a range of understated European design features. These include central turrets with corbel details, earthy stucco on stone or brick bases, low-hipped roofs, and windows that provide privacy and shelter.
Things to Do in Gran Place
Gran Place is a fantastically placed community with many nearby amenities and highlights.
For a start, Gran Place is practically within walking distance of Downtown Wellen Park, a mixed-use development that will offer shopping, dining, and entertainment, as well as the use of an 8-0acre park with lake, play areas, and concert facilities.
A short distance up the road is the CoolToday BallPark, which is the spring training grounds for the Atlanta Braves. This facility also hosts regular concerts, games, and a farmers market.
Within Wellen Park there are also a number of country clubs. These are Wellen Park Golf & Country Club, Boca Royale, and Sarasota National.
Further afield, this area of Florida has many beautiful and exciting urban centers, as well as vast and pristine natural areas and beaches.
