About Gulf Shores

Residents can walk to Sharky’s gulf front restaurant to enjoy dinner and cocktails while enjoying a spectacular beach sunset and live reggae entertainment. Immediately beside Sharky’s restaurant is Fin’s which offers fine dining and spectacular views. Fishing at the Municipal Fishing Pier is also enjoyed by local residents a short walk down Harbor Drive. Residents catch grouper, mackeral, sheepshead, flounder, and a host of other saltwater fish. A fishing license is not required to fish off the pier and a bait stand is conveniently located on the pier. Nightly sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico are a must. Residents routinely make the short walk to the beach to watch the sun set and return home.

Gulf Shores Homeowners Association

Gulf Shores Association of Venice, Inc., the formal homeowners association, was effectively incorporated on May 31, 1955. Members voluntarily pay a very nominal annual association fee. The Homeowners Association holds an annual beach picnic in the spring and an annual membership meeting in January. Gulf Shores Community Amenities

Gulf Shores residents share two deeded beach easements which are deeded to the community. One easement is at the corner of Beach Road and Sunset Drive and is approx. 24 feet x 392 feet. The other is at the end of Sunset Drive, three blocks to the north, accessible off of Harbor Drive, and is 10 feet x 573 feet. The beach easements feature an outdoor shower, picnic tables, volleyball net, and a canopy of sea-grapes along a winding path to the warm gulf waters. In addition to the deeded beach easements, Service Club Park is located immediately to the South of the Gulf Shores and offers a full beach park and all the amenities.

Location and Directions

Gulf Shores is located in the area of Harbor Drive S., just north of Venice Municipal Airport and runs from the Gulf of Mexico to several blocks East of Harbor Drive.
