Eagle Point Club Homes for Sale

The Eagle Point Club is a waterfront community of single-family homes of distinction located just north of the Island of Venice. This private gated community of mostly Key West-style homes, some located directly on Roberts Bay, all have access to the community boat docks. Eagle Point Club homes for sale consists of 44 houses and encompasses 24 acres. It is located just over the north drawbridge from Venice Island. It was originally opened in 1917 as Eagle Point Camp by Bertha Palmer, a wealthy socialite from Chicago. The camp served as a vacation destination for those who wanted to hunt, fish, play tennis and socialize. The original two story clubhouse and wood cabins were built from 1916 to 1920. The Eagle Point Camp was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

The restored wood water tower is reminiscent of days past in this historic community with roots dating back to the 1920’s. This community also features charmingly restored historic guest cottages available for your short term guests.

The Eagle Point Club is a boating community with a handful of homes having private boat docks and the remaining homes having deeded boat docks or access to the community pier. There is ample water depth to accommodate sailboats depending on size. The Eagle Point Club also has a single lighted tennis court. The clubhouse is sufficient for social engagements for the 44 homes.

Life in Venice

You can enjoy casual dining where you can enjoy people watching at an outdoor cafe and enjoy our glorious weather.

Venice offers a variety of options to enjoy water sports as well. You don’t need to own a boat as there are a myriad of opportunities to charter a sunset sail, fish for your own grouper sandwich, or scuba dive for fossil sharks teeth. Certainly the beaches can not be overlooked. One can walk for miles along our sandy coastline enjoying unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico or lay on a beach towel and do absolutely nothing.

From the Island of Venice, take Business 41 heading north. Cross the north draw bridge, start looking on your left (west) side and you will see an exit gate and shortly thereafter, the gate house and main entrance.
