If you want a lesser commitment, Freedom Boat Club allows you to use any of a selection of vessels with monthly membership fees. Whatever type of boating you choose, Venice, Florida offers navigable waterways that lead to the Gulf of Mexico’s open water through the Venice Inlet.
If you prefer the Golf Course rather than the Gulf of Mexico, you are in luck. Venice offers private, semi-private and public courses. Many clubs even offer reciprocal agreements with other courses so you can vary your golf experiences. The closest course is located at the Venice Golf and Country Club about a mile East on Center Road. A half dozen courses are located within minutes.
Start at the intersection of Jacaranda Blvd. and Center Road, proceed east to Venice East Blvd. Turn left (north) into the community on Venice East Blvd.
