From Boca Grande, a 40 minute drive will take you to Port Charlotte, while Fort Myers is a further 40 minutes past that.
Gasparilla Island is seven miles long. Little Gasparilla on Don Pedro Island lies to the north across Gasparilla Pass. Cayo Costa is a boat-access-only island to the south, and the Cape Haze Aquatic Preserve and Charlotte Harbor Aquatic Preserve lie directly to the east.
