About Lido Key

Lido Key is smaller than many of its neighboring barrier islands on Florida\'s Gulf Coast. As such, property is limited, and, given the desirability of the area, highly prestigious and exclusive as well.

Most of the island\'s length is run by Benjamin Franklin Drive. West of this road, there are many resorts, hotels, and condo buildings, taking advantage of the perfect ocean views and convenient beach access. Given the narrowness of the key, most properties on the eastern side of Benjamin Franklin Drive boast deep water access. many of these properties also have pools overlooking their private docks, and the beautiful blue water.

Between Benjamin Franklin Drive and Boulevard of the Presidents, buyers will be able to find a number of low-rise condos, villas, and more vintage island cottages.

As for the luxury properties on Lido Key\'s coast, these fall into a few main styles. The first is the Spanish-revival villa, showing off ornate pillars, fountains, arcades, and red-tile roofs. Another popular style is the range of contemporary modern designs, including the classic Floridian style incorporating curved lines, ornate lattice-work, and glass bricks.

Also found in Lido Key are mid-century bungalows, with the recognizable low, shallow-pitched (or even flat) roofs. Interiors are open, with vaulted roofs, large fireplaces, and patios.

Lido Key\'s condo market has tremendous variety, from sprawling luxury properties, to affordable single-room units. For luxury condos, you can expect to find fantastic views of the ocean, modern design, spa-like bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows, and the best amenities and services.

For most condos in Lido Key, the best features will undoubtedly be the easy access to Lido Key\'s famous beaches and the views of the sparkling blue water beyond.
