It All Started With a Pineapple
Before the brokerage had multiple offices or a wide footprint across Florida’s Gulf Coast, it had a symbol.
The pineapple quickly became a staple of who we are and what we stand for. Long recognized as a symbol of hospitality, the pineapple represented the way we believed real estate service should feel: welcoming, thoughtful, and rooted in genuine care for others.
What started as a simple symbol soon became an obsession within the brokerage. Pineapples showed up everywhere. In our offices, our décor, and our brand identity. More than a design choice, it became a reminder of our promise to create an experience where clients feel supported, valued, and truly at home throughout the process. To this day, the pineapple remains at the heart of our culture.
Our Story
Our brokerage was founded in 2016 as Tomlin St Cyr Real Estate Services with a clear mission: to raise the standard of real estate service through honesty, transparency, and collaboration.
Co-founder Ali St Cyr began her real estate career with a strong belief that clients deserved better. She quickly realized that finding a brokerage that encouraged collaboration, cultivated transparency, and provided meaningful support for its agents was harder than it should be.
Rather than compromise those values, Ali chose to build something different.
In 2016, she launched Tomlin St Cyr Real Estate Services as a joint venture with her parents, John and Holly Tomlin, creating a family founded brokerage built on trust, shared expertise, and a client first approach. From day one, the focus was on learning each client’s goals and creating a clear path to achieve them with as little stress as possible.
Our brokerage was founded on the Go Giver philosophy — the belief that lasting success comes from giving more value than you receive in compensation. For us, that means leading with education, guidance, and care, long before a transaction is ever on the table. We focus on doing what is right for our clients, even when it requires more time, more effort, or more resources, because we believe trust is earned through service, not promised through words.
Growing With A Purpose
In 2021, the brokerage expanded by bringing onboard Gulf Shores Realty in Venice, Florida. This strategic move allowed the team to serve clients across a wider service area while merging with a highly respected, locally owned company that was deeply rooted in the Venice community.
At the time, Gulf Shores Realty had earned the title of Best of Venice for 11 consecutive years, under the ownership of Wayne Welsh who is still a valued agent and advisor with the Gulf Shores Realty. This is a testament to its reputation, longevity, and commitment to exceptional service. A testament that we’ve been able to continue as we are now the recipient of the Best of Venice for the 14th consecutive year!

In 2026, the brokerage officially consolidated our branding as Gulf Shores Realty, uniting the leading Gulf Coast brokerage under one name while preserving the identity that started it all.
