Venice Municipal Fishing Pier at Brohard Park

The Venice Municipal Fishing Pier is a 720 foot long pier owned by the City of Venice. It is located on the Island of Venice, at the foot of Sharky’s Restaurant, and admission is free. Beach goers swim at Brohard beach which straddles the pier on both sides while fisherman try their luck from the pier. The pier is open 7 days a week and you don’t need a fishing license to fish from the pier. Papa’s bait stand is located directly on the pier where you can rent a fishing rod or purchase both live and frozen bait. The bait shop is open from 6:00 am until 9:00 pm, depending on weather. The variety of species of saltwater fish caught from this pier is endless. Crowds visit the pier as a favorite spot to watch sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico.
