St. Armand's Key Real Estate

Homes for sale on St. Armand's Key are some of the most prestigious on Florida's Gulf Coast. Whether on the water's edge, or mere steps from fine, boutique shopping, many of these homes represent the pinnacle of elegance and luxury.

With quick access to Sarasota Bay, Longboat Key, Sarasota, and Lido Key, residents at St. Armand's Key are at the center of it all.

St. Armand's Key real estate exhibits a variety of classic Floridian styles. Perhaps the most distinctive and well-suited to the Key are the Spanish and Roman-revival inspired homes. These properties feature long colonnades, courtyards, balconies, delicate arches and pillars, tall entryways, and finishes in rich tile and stucco.

From the water features, to the stately statues, these homes provide comfort and style worthy of a Roman noble. Other styles on offer include more mid-century homes in ranch configurations, and the odd bungalow. In most cases, the landlocked homes front broad lawns under swaying palms, with wide sidewalks excellent for enjoying the sun and taking a walk to St. Armand's Circle.

Other features include carriage drives, covered pools, screened porches, and interiors complete with a variety of flex spaces, multiple bed and bathrooms, and high-quality finishes.

St. Armand's Key History

St. Armand's Key is named after the 1893 owner of the land, Frenchman Charles St. Amand. The difference in spelling is attributed to an error on the original land deeds. The land was subsequently bought by famed circus tycoon John Ringling in 1917. John Ringling's vision for the key is realized today, with its residential outer ring and commercial inner ring, as well as the landscaping and overall design.

As a testament to its founder, the area also boasts some of John Ringling's collected statues, and a "Circus Ring of Fame" commemorating famous circus figures.
