Warbirds in Venice Florida-A Veterans Salute

The Wings of Freedom Tour also known as the Venice Warbirds Event in Venice Florida brought WWII vintage military aircraft to Venice Florida.  P-51 Mustangs, B-17 and B-24 Bombers which have been totally restored by the Collings Foundation, educate and impressed both young and old.  Gulf Shores Realty in an attempt to share yet another wonderful event in Venice, Florida, created a video to share with the public and place on our website GulfShoresRealty.com/ .  This video began as a marketing piece focused on engines and flying machines.  It quickly metamorphosed into something completely different.  After hearing story after story from the actual Veterans who were the Pilots, Gunners, Navigators, and Radio Operators who flew the missions during WWII, it didn’t take long to realize where the true story was.  Many of these brave individuals were not old enough to drive a car and were trained and flew dozens of missions in massive aircraft, risking their lives for the Country they loved.

This video is a tribute to the brave Veterans, past and present.

The 2018 Wings of Freedom Tour will be located at the Venice Municipal Airport, located at 400 Airport Ave. East, Venice, FL 34285.  The Airport Administrations phone number is 800-568-8924.  Tickets are $5.00 for children under 12 and $15.00 for adults.  Walk through tour times are:
Feb 8, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Feb 9, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Feb 10, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Feb 11, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

30-min flight on the B-17 or B-24 is $450 per person
30-min flight training on the TF-51D is $2200.
60-min flight training on the TF-51D is $3200.
