Venice Florida Weather Report

Venice, Florida is currently experiencing beautiful weather with bright sunny skies, a light breeze and temperatures in the mid 70?s. Gulf waters are gorgeous and I managed to sneak a few minutes before work to pick some oranges to make fresh juice. The drive in to work was nice, traffic flowed smoothly past palm tree lined streets to my office, two blocks from Venice Public Beach.
The Northeast and even many southern states suffered the brutality of what reporters are calling a “punishing winter storm.” Thousands of airline flights have been canceled, and Atlanta is expected to receive 5 inches of snow today. Deaths have been reported. Snow, sleet and freezing rain have severely hampered most forms of travel. Stranded vehicles littered the roadsides in many areas. The National Weather Service is still predicting heavy snowfall up to a foot from New York City to Maine.
