Turnabout is Fair Play-A Must Read

Posted by Tracy Jones on Wednesday, June 8th, 2011 at 3:11pm.

Tired of being treated more like a nuisance than a valued customer, than read this.

According to an article published by Florida Realtors.org, Bank of America (BOA) had wrongly foreclosed on a home owned by Warren and Maureen Nyerges.  The ironic thing is they paid cash for the home and did not have a mortgage.  They purchased the home from BOA as a result of a foreclosure.  Four months later, BOA served them with foreclosure papers.  An 18 month battle ensued.  After losing the court battle, Bank of America was ordered to among other things, pay for legal fees and court costs.

After BOA’s failure to pay up as ordered by the court months later, the homeowner took action.  The Nyerges attorney showed up at the BOA branch in Naples, armed with a moving truck, sheriff’s deputies, and a judge’s order to seize the furniture.  The attorney was quoted as saying “at that point I was willing to take the desk and the chair he was sitting in.”The saga ended with the Branch Manager handing over a check instead of the furniture.  The good guys do win one every once in a while. For more information on Venice Florida foreclosures and short sales, contact Gulf Shores Realty at 941-488-6644 or visit http://gulfshoresrealty.com/ .
