Outstanding Business Partner of the Year 2010-2011

Wayne and Hap Welsh with Gulf Shores Realty received the Outstanding Business Partner Award from the Partnerships and Alliances Linking Schools (PALS) which was presented on April 12, 2011 at their Annual Recognition Event.  This organization works at the direction of the Superintendent of Public Schools and the School Board of Sarasota County and support schools through volunteers, business partners, and community collaborations.

Wayne and Hap Welsh were nominated by Venice High School.  Each local school nominates one local business for the award and one of the award winners is selected as the District Local Business Partner by PALS.  Although they did not receive the District award, they were extremely proud to have been nominated.

PALS published the following in their program for the event:

“Venice High School is proud to nominate Hap and Wayne Welsh of Gulf Shores Realty for their gracious monetary support of at-risk students.  Their generous contributions have provided two annual presentations by a national motivational guest speaker, Ron Glodoski.   Their contribution also provides partial funding for 1,000 of Ron’s autobiographical book for all Intensive Reading, ESE, and PBA classes.”

This is one of over 75 different charities that have received financial support through personal donations by Gulf Shores Realty.
