Venice, Florida has the perfect home for everyone. Big or small, golf course or waterfront, we have it all. A mating pair of osprey have taken up residence in the most unlikely of places. They wanted a modest size home with a waterfront view. They opted to give up privacy for location and a view of the marina and Intracoastal Waterway. They found the perfect home which was close to restaurants and shopping. Their Island of Venice location is close to several beaches, offered quick access to open water and is in an area with outstanding schools. Best of all…it fit their budget.
The osprey have built their nest on the traffic signal to the north drawbridge on the Island of Venice. They completed the nest just in time for their growing family. The adolescents can now be seen with their parents and by next year will be looking for a nest of their own. Venice, Florida covets our wildlife and has left the nest undisturbed.
