2021 Business of the Year Award-Gulf Shores Realty

Gulf Shores Realty was the 2021 Winner of the Business of the Year Award for the Professional and Financial category. Gulf Shores Realty is a three time winner of the award also winning in 2019 and 2014. The Venice Area Chamber of Commerce held the annual Business of the Year awards ceremony at the Plantation Golf and Country Club. Award categories included:
- Health & Wellness
- Hospitality & Tourism
- Service & Retail
- Professional and Financial
- Non-Profit/Not-For-Profit
- Employee of the Year
The Business of the Year award is coveted because it is awarded by your peers in the business community. Businesses who are nominated for the award, submit a package of information which requires businesses to take a deep dive into their "Why" and a multitude of other business self evaluations. A panel of judges review the packages and rate them. The final step is an oral interview with the judging panel and then you patiently wait for the Awards Ceremony. After a delicious lunch, the ceremony begins. The presenting sponsor reads a narrative describing the positive attributes of the winner. It usually begins sounding generic and could be any of the Finalists, thus adding to the suspense and torture for the waiting finalists. It progressively gets more detailed until the answer is revealed to an elated winner.
The winners receive an attractive acrylic award and an ego boost knowing they were selected by their peers. The marketing advantage the award affords is immeasurable.
