Fish and Wildlife Commission – FWC
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission…Serving Florida with Law Enforcement, Research, Management and Outreach since 1999. The FWC enforces rules to protect fish and wildlife, works with other law enforcement agencies to provide homeland security, as well as keeping the waterways safe for millions of boaters. Law enforcement officers are among the first to respond when natural disasters occur and use their specialized equipment to access hard-to-reach locations. FWC scientists provide information involving fish and wildlife populations, habitat issues, and the human-dimension aspects of conservation. They use this data when managing resources with the goal of conserving some of the most complex and delicate ecosystems in the world involving a wide diversity of species. FWC community outreach involves hunter safety training, boating safety classes, birding classes, classing instructing on the outdoors and coexisting with wildlife and answering questions via telephone and email any related topics.
