How Does the Matterport 3D Tour Work?

It’s all in the high-tech camera and tripod system created by Matterport. Matterport Pro2 3D camera has 9 built-in lenses - 3 look upward, 3 downward and 3 straight facing. The camera is controlled wirelessly from an ipad or tablet.

As the camera is moved throughout the home, the camera and tripod system rotate 360 degrees to capture each room. The 9 lenses work together to create images of incredible quality that demonstrate incredible depth.

The process of capturing these images typically takes about an hour for most homes.

Once all images are taken, a computer program works to stitch all the photos together to create a seamless home tour experience!  Buyers can experience your home on their smartphone, iPad, or desktop computer.

What Does the Seller Need to Do to Prepare?

The 3D tour will often be captured by the same photographer we hire to capture your listing photos.

And your home prep will be similar to what you would do to prepare for an open house. You know - keep things tidy:
